When making decisions about the paths you should take in
life, it can feel, somewhat as if your thoughts are spiralling out of control.
Some people may have known from the very start what they are going to do with
their life, whereas, the majority of will alternate from choice to choice
almost daily. There is no right or wrong pat, only the path that suits you.
It is now compulsory to stay in education until the age of
18, from some this may seem atrocious, whilst for others, and this could be the
valuable time they need to aid their decision making. Not everyone is suited to
stay in education after the age of 18, my advice is:
Whichever path you may choose, make sure it is the right
one, not for anyone else, but yourself, take your time and always stay above
the average line.
Stay above the average line? Competition is getting fiercer,
and it is going to continue getting fiercer. You have to stand out, make your
talents work in your favour, impress the people around you, you never know who
could be watching. It is to an extent made out that education alone can help to
get you the job of your dreams, wrong.
Hypothetically speaking, imagine two individual beings that
have attended the same University, gained the same qualification, along with
the same grade, being interviewed for one position by Richard Branson. One of
the individuals has taken it out of their time to gain experience for the
position, in contrast, the other has relied on the degree being enough to land
the job. Who is Richard Branson going to pick? The individual with the experience, going the
extra mile is crucial; it can set you aside from everyone else.
Once again, make the right choices for yourself, not ones
that will bring harm to you or others around you, stand out and stay above the
average line.
